From the resume writing session, I learned that it is very important to use good-quality templates and fill them with the right information. A resume should be neat, readable, and catchy enough to make an employer interested in you. I learned to highlight my strengths, skills, achievements, and experiences while keeping everything professional. I also learned that resumes must look organized. Using templates helps me create a strong first impression, and it shows employers that I am serious and ready to present myself well.
2. Interview Skills
During the interview sessions, I learned how I must dress formally and communicate clearly. I practiced answering important questions like: - What is your name? - What are your hobbies? - Why are you the right pick for the job? I also learned that it is good to ask questions during an interview if possible. This shows confidence and interest. The session helped me understand the importance of body language, eye contact, and honesty during interviews.
3. Mind Map Creation
Mind maps became one of my favourite activities. I learned how to summarize my whole life into one colourful yet formal document filled with pictures and videos of my experiences so far. Creating mind maps helps me organize my thoughts better, plan ahead, and express myself visually. It is an excellent tool for studying, reflecting, and planning projects.
4. Cover Letter Writing
In the cover letter writing session, I learned how to write formal application letters to companies. A cover letter must explain why I am the right person for the opportunity and what makes me stand out. I learned to include my experiences, skills, abilities, and reasons why the company should choose me. It should be formal, convincing, and straight to the point.
5. Blog Writing
I also learned about blog writing—how to document my progress, express myself, and share the things I am learning. A blog should be well-structured, formal yet engaging, and summarize my activities clearly. I learned the importance of using Google for research, gathering ideas, and writing clearly so that readers can follow my journey easily.
6. Presentation Skills
For the presentation session, I learned how to summarize everything I have learned so far, especially the resume and interview critique. I practiced speaking clearly, organizing slides neatly, and presenting confidently. Presentations help me express what I know and show my growth.
7. My Experience With Coders Who Travel
My experience with Coders Who Travel has been exciting, eye-opening, and inspiring. I have learned new skills that I never imagined I would gain at this stage. The workshop has helped me grow in confidence, creativity, and professionalism. I enjoyed learning new digital skills, meeting new people, and understanding how technology can open many doors for young people like me. Every session made me feel more ready for the future. I am proud of the progress I have made so far, and I look forward to learning even more.
