From Clueless to Confident: My Coders Who Travel Career Training Experience

When I joined the Coders Who Travel career training program back in February,I honestly had no idea what the job industry even looked like. As a high schooler, the whole world of resumes,cover letters and professional networking felt like something far away and foreign. That changed pretty quickly.

Under the guidance of our trainers, Ms. Afia Owusu Forfie,Dr. Angela Azumah and Ms. Nah-Ahbia Alhassan,I got a hands-on introduction to everything you need to start your career journey on the right foot.

What We Learned

We covered how to write a strong resume,craft a compelling cover letter,set up a LinkedIn account and how to walk into an interview prepared and confident.

Real-World Skills That Matter

What stood out most to me was how practical it all was. It wasn't theory. These were real skills for the real world and by the end of the training I actually understood how the job market works and what employers are looking for. That kind of knowledge is something most people my age simply don't have yet.

A Head Start for the Future

I'm still in high school so I'm not job hunting just yet but when that time comes I'll be ready. The Coders Who Travel career training didn't just teach me skills, it gave me a head start.
