Coders Who Travel (CWT): My Experience

Coders Who Travel Inc. (also known as The Coders Who Travel Foundation ) is an organization that trains young people on how to prepare for the future. Upon joining them on their journey to teach students, they have made quite an impact in my life, they have trained and equipped us with skills such as; Resume crafting, Proper interview etiquette, How to make a LinkedIn profile, how to make cover letters, and even to write blogs like the one you are currently reading. 

Before I joined CWT, I was not really acquainted with writing resumes/CV. But as we all know, a resume is your personal billboard that speaks volumes to your employer even before they meet you. It not only highlights your skills but your journey and the unique value that you bring to the table as an individual. 

With the knowledge I acquired, I learned how to tailor my resume to meet job applications and their demands. This has helped me to put myself out there more. To further and expand my horizon, I have also learned how to make a LinkedIn profile and the essence of it. Before I joined CWT, I had a LinkedIn account, but I didn’t know the essence or use of the tool that I had in my hand. 

To me, it was just another social media platform and wasn’t even complete, but from CWT I learned that your LinkedIn profile is how the world sees you. It connects you to many different people who can help you get to your destination in life. You can connect with so many people who you share a common interest with. From CWT I also acquired presentation skills, which enhanced my self-confidence. I also had live interview sessions which taught me how to conduct myself during interviews. 

 All the knowledge I have acquired has been made possible through the guidance and support of Coders Who Travel. I am deeply grateful to all the members who came together to form this incredible organization, creating a space where learning and growth are truly valued.
